Disabled sports
Capdenho was created in 2006 with a vision of creating better holiday conditions for people with disabilities and their families. After having studied and visited local hotels, restaurants and attractions, the creators of this independent association helped locals improve access to their businesses in order to welcome people with reduced mobility.
Their goal is that every visitor to this region is able to enjoy their stay to the fullest in the best possible conditions. The Capdenho team is run by a committee made up of health, sports and tourism professionals.
Capdenho thanks the Pays-d’Enhaut tourist office, the Château-d’Oex Ski and Snowboarding School, Télé Château-d’Oex and all of the other sponsors who have helped this dream become a reality.
Capdenho:
- provides information and advice
- trains ski instructors to ski with specially adapted equipment for disabled people
- helps local businesses in order to improve their services to disabled guests and their families
- improves structures used by tourists and proposes solutions to adapt their access for disabled guests creation of activities and package deals for disabled guests and their families
